Job Overview Facades, Inc. is an established commercial exterior construction company specializing in architectural siding and exterior wall systems throughout New England. We are looking for a CAD Drafter to prepare shop drawings for commercial construction projects. If you have strong AutoCAD skills, can read architectural plans, and understand how construction details come together, we'd like to hear from you. What You'll Do Prepare commercial construction shop drawings using AutoCAD Create elevations, sections, details, panel layouts, and flashing details Review architectural drawings, specifications, and project documents Revise drawings based on architect, GC, project manager, and field comments Coordinate with project managers, field personnel, and our fabrication shop Identify conflicts or missing information before materials are fabricated or installed Maintain accurate drawing revisions and project files Assist with preparing product and material submittals, including manufacturer documentation, technical data and shop drawings, in coordination with project managers. What We're Looking For Proficiency with AutoCAD Ability to read and interpret architectural/construction drawings Strong attention to detail Good organizational and communication skills Experience producing construction or fabrication shop drawings preferred Commercial construction experience preferred Experience with architectural metal panels (ACM), commercial siding, sheet metal/flashing, EIFS, roofing, glazing, curtainwall, or other building-envelope systems is a strong plus, but not required. We are willing to train the right person who has strong CAD skills and a good understanding of construction. We are looking for someone who wants more than just a drafting job.
