A Day in the Life As a CAD Drafter at Sunrise Engineering, each day unfolds with a sense of purpose and excitement. Collaborating with a dynamic team, you embark on a journey to create innovative solutions for community engineering projects.

Your day-to-day activities may include:

Transforms initial rough product designs using computer aided design (CAD) into working documents. Work with engineers to prepare original drawings and revisions of municipal, private and industrial civil engineering projects using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other software. Provide technical support to other engineers and draftspersons as needed. Reviews engineering drawing and designs to ensure adherence to established specifications and standards. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Provide other services including surveying and inspection on an as-needed basis. Qualifications for success include:

1-2 years of AutoCAD and Civil 3D experience Ability to do site design and create Plan and Profile Sheets Experience in both ACAD 2005 and LDD 2005 or greater.
