This is an entry level position, but it's important that the candidate takes the life safety industry seriously, is reliable, and is motivated to learn. We're looking for someone who wants to develop professionally, not just fill a short term CAD seat.

NOTES:

Location Requirement Candidates must be local to the Hauppauge, NY office or able to reliably commute, as this is an on site role with in office collaboration being a key expectation . • Proficient In Autocad 2014 Or Newer
• Strong Skills With Windows-Based Software And Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
• Excellent Organization And Attention To Detail
• Experience In The Construction Industry ,

Preferably:

o Electrical Construction o Mechanical Construction o Low-Voltage Systems Installation

• Professional Industry Experience Preferred Over Purely Academic Or Club-Based Drafting Experience

High School Diploma Or Equivalent Required Preferred Background Candidates With Experience Supporting:

• Fire Alarm Systems
• Security Systems
• Access Control Systems
• Low-Voltage Specialty Systems
• Construction Drawing Preparation And Revisions Core Responsibilities
• Create And Revise Construction Drawings Under Supervision

Produce:

o Floor Plan Layouts o Riser Diagrams o Electrical Interconnection Drawings o Installation Termination Drawings

Prepare Submittal Documentation, Including:

o Product Data Sheets o Battery Calculations

• Maintain Project Drawing Files And Records
• Track And Update As-Built Drawings
• Support Design Team Members With Assigned Projects What Would Make A Candidate Strong 1-5 Years Of Autocad Drafting Experience In Construction-Related Environments Experience Reading Construction And Electrical DrawingsBackground Working With Contractors, Integrators, Or Engineering FirmsStrong Document Control And Project Organization Skills Error-Free, Well-Formatted Resume Demonstrating Attention To Detail SR-R5 #IND2
