Full Job Description Job Summary:

Millwork Draftsperson (AutoCAD) We are seeking a skilled Millwork Draftsperson with expertise in AutoCAD to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating precise and detailed technical drawings for custom millwork and casework projects. Your work will directly support the manufacturing and installation teams, ensuring designs meet client specifications, industry standards, and project timelines. The ideal candidate has a strong background in millwork drafting, excellent attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of materials, construction techniques, and shop practices. You will collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and carpenters to deliver high-quality drawings that facilitate efficient production and installation.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop detailed millwork and casework shop drawings using AutoCAD. Interpret architectural plans, specifications, and design intent to create accurate drawings. Prepare material takeoffs and cutting lists based on approved shop drawings. Collaborate with project managers, production teams, and clients to resolve design challenges. Ensure all drawings comply with company standards, building codes, and industry best practices. Maintain organized project files and documentation for easy access and revision control. Coordinate with manufacturing and installation teams to address technical questions or adjustments.

Qualifications:

Proficiency in AutoCAD and other drafting software; experience with Alphacam software is a plus but not a requirement. Strong understanding of millwork construction techniques, joinery, and materials. Experience reading and interpreting architectural and engineering drawings. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team. Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines. Familiarity with industry standards, such as AWI guidelines, is preferred. Relevant experience in millwork drafting, preferably in a manufacturing or construction environment.
