Saratoga Springs, New York job type: Contract salary: $37.16 - 52.77 per hour work hours: 8am to 5pm education: Bachelors responsibilities: Lead and execute physical layouts, schematics, logic diagrams, wiring, grounding, and cable schedules for custom FACTS protection and control solutions.

Develop detailed Bills of Material (BOM) for all control designs while ensuring consistency, technical quality, and compliance with ISO9001 standards.

Coordinate technical deliverables with offshore design resources, principal engineers, civil engineers, and project managers to achieve cost and schedule targets.

Drive cost reduction initiatives across FACTS product lines through vendor selection, process automation, NPI, and design optimization.

Contribute to the continuous improvement of standard control documentation for fixed series capacitors, static VAR compensation, and synchronous condensers.
qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering with 2+ years of controls design experience, or an Associate's Degree with 5+ years of relevant experience. High proficiency in AutoCAD 2D Design, AutoCAD Electrical, MicroStation, and generating accurate Bills of Materials (BOM). Strong knowledge of standard drafting practices and industry standards (IEEE, IEC, ANSI, NEC, CSA, NESC) for custom protection and control design packages.
