(EWS) is currently seeking a GIS Technician/ CAD Drafter. This will be 80% design and 20% fielding. Requirements of the GIS Technician

• A degree in GIS or a related discipline and/or 1 year of GIS experience using ESRI products is preferred, or related experience.
• Great written and oral communication skills
• Positive can-do attitude with good problem-solving abilities
• AutoCAD experience preferred.
• MicroStation experience preferred.
• Great organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively. Responsibilities of the GIS Technician
• Employee will be in charge of geodatabase design, schema development, and data management.
• In charge of the creation, collection and assimilation of GIS data from various sources.
• Monitor semi-automated tasks to ensure data quality.
• Responsible for providing feedback to the Design Engineer team to ensure data standards are met.
• Employee will be asked to Manipulate data and assist in creating deliverables or other documentation needed by the client/construction contractors.
• In charge of the analysis of internal and external data requests and implementing adjustments to the design data.
