Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and self-sufficient 2D CAD Designer to support our team on a contract basis. This role focuses on producing accurate layout drawings for customer quotes and machine installations, specifically for large commercial dishwashing systems. The ideal candidate is comfortable interpreting technical information and translating it into clear, precise 2D CAD drawings. Work comfortably in 2D, including stretching and modifying drawings Have shop floor, industrial, or architectural drawing experience Demonstrate familiarity with the software Create full machine drawings, not just individual components Understand plumbing and electrical fitting layouts

Key Responsibilities:

Create 2D CAD layouts for customer quotes and machine installations using standardized modules and specifications Interpret customer orders and project requirements to develop accurate drawings for custom commercial dishwashing systems Independently translate technical notes, layouts, and verbal instructions into detailed CAD designs Annotate drawings with all required utility connections, including water lines, electrical, drainage, and other system requirements Ensure all drawings meet project specifications and are completed within required timelines Collaborate with internal teams as needed to clarify design details and requirements

Qualifications:

Proven experience with 2D CAD design (AutoCAD or similar software) Strong ability to interpret technical specifications, notes, and layouts Experience creating layouts for equipment, machinery, or industrial systems preferred Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a part-time contract role High attention to detail and accuracy in technical drawings Strong communication skills for clarifying requirements and ensuring alignment

Preferred Experience:

Background in mechanical systems, industrial equipment, or manufacturing environments Experience with layout drawings involving plumbing, electrical, or utility connections

Pay:

$37.00 per hour
