Job Description
Redcon Engineering is searching for an eager and hardworking CAD Designer to join our close-knit team in Carnegie, PA to help grow our engineering department. We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Architectural CAD Designer with 0-3 years of professional experience. The ideal candidate shall have a strong background in pre-engineered metal buildings (PEMB) and concrete foundation design. In this role, you will work closely with project engineers to produce high-quality architectural elevations and technical drawing sets. While proficiency in AutoCAD is mandatory for this role, we are also looking for a candidate with working knowledge of Revit drafting to assist in our transition toward BIM workflows.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare detailed architectural drawings, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and details Create accurate foundation plans, including reinforced concrete details, building anchor details and slab-on-grade systems Coordinate with structural engineers and project managers on project designsQualifications & Skills:
Entry level to three years of practical experience in an architectural or structural engineering environment- Solid understanding of concrete foundation design and reinforcement detailing
- Familiarity with general construction codes and zoning regulations is a plus
- Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple project deadlines simultaneously
AutoCAD :
Intermediate level is required. You must be comfortable with Xrefs, dynamic blocks, and layer managementRevit :
Intermediate level/Working knowledge is a plusGeneral Requirements:
Office-based with occasional site visits and fieldwork Maintain organized file structures and ensure all drawings adhere to company CAD standards and local building codesBenefits:

Discretionary Bonus Salary:
$40,000 - $60,000/yr commensurate upon experience The base pay range represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position.
