Job Description
CAD Draftsman - Bridge Railings & Drainage Hall Manufacturing Technology, a leader in the steel manufacturing industry, is a premier supplier of machined components, fabrications, and assemblies. Hall Manufacturing Technology LLC is seeking strong candidates to join our growing detailing and engineering team focusing on DOT bridge railings & drainage systems. CAD Draftsman Responsibilities but not limited to:
- Review contract drawings, special provisions and estimates to understand scope of work
- Develop and check erection and detail fabrication drawings
- Adhere to standard drawing detailing practices
- Support the project manager & shop by creating bill of materials, pipe wraps, cut files, etc…
- Maintaining and implementing drawings using SolidWorks PDM
- Working within a shop environment to implement new processes or improve current processes Requirements
- Associate degree in technical drafting or drafting certifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering preferred
- Ability to read and understand structural steel contract drawings
- Ability to work within a team setting
- Understanding of metal fabrication processes and procedures.
- Strong math & geometry skills
- Strong written communication skills.
- Proficient at 3D modeling (SolidWorks preferred)
- Structural steel shape and sheet metal design experience
