Job Description Job Description Responsibilities:
Produce detailed millwork shop drawings, elevations, and construction documents for custom cabinetry and woodworking projects Collaborate with designers, project managers, and shop fabricators to translate design intent into accurate technical drawings Develop and maintain CAD/drafting files for custom millwork, built-ins, and architectural woodworking Review project specifications, blueprints, and client requirements to ensure drawing accuracy Perform material takeoffs and assist with estimating lumber, hardware, and component quantities Identify and resolve design conflicts or constructability issues prior to fabrication Update and revise drawings based on field conditions, client feedback, or engineering changes
Requirements:
Experience in millwork drafting, architectural woodworking, or custom cabinetry design Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Cabinet Vision, Microvellum, or similar) Strong understanding of wood joinery, cabinet construction methods, and millwork standards Ability to read and interpret architectural plans, blueprints, and specifications Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills Effective communicator who can work cross-functionally with shop and design teams Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or related field preferred
