Position Description:
Electrical Controls Designer Summary of Position:
Uses design skills to develop and modify design of industrial controls systems. Participates in all product verticals. Works closely with suppliers to leverage their industry experience and knowledge to create a common Database of best use products. Become subject matter expert (SME) for industry specifications and classifications. Demonstrates all Syscon's virtues.

Engineering Manager with project-based instruction coming from Project Lead. 2.
Other:
Works closely with engineers, customers and vendors and regulatory agencies as required
Essential Duties:
1. Develop and Modify detailed design of industrial control systems including: a. control panel design - layout and schematics b. networking design c. field device layouts d. Specification of all system components 2. Interpret P&ID, Process Flows, Specifications, and other system design documentation to use as the basis of control system design 3. Provide control panel designs compliant with UL508A and
NFPA 70 4.
Create I/O lists, specifications, test procedures, manuals, and other project documentation as needed 5. Maintain current knowledge of control panel design and drafting procedures 6. Develop and maintain an accurate document and revision control system 7. Develop and maintain CAD component blocks, templates, and title blocks Requirements 1. Detailed knowledge of industrial control systems, motor control, and field instrumentation 2. Minimum 5 years' experience creating control system drawings with AutoCAD Electrical 3. Minimum 2 years' experience with industrial communication protocols and distributed I/O systems, preferably Ethernet/IP and EtherCAT 4. Time management skills and ability to meet deadlines 5. Proven communication, organizational, interpersonal and problem-solving skills 6. Possess a valid driver's license 7. US Citizen or have legal right to work in the USA without sponsorship 8. Pass a criminal background check and drug test
