Job Description

Mountain Peak Controls specializes in system design‑build applications, control modifications, and complete control system design. It is our responsibility and desire to respond to our clients' needs efficiently, effectively, and in a timely manner to provide a cost‑efficient, value‑added solution. We are a full‑service, design‑to‑implementation, certified Systems Integrator with a UL508A and UL698A control panel shop, providing seamless systems integration from initial installation to complete systems programming. About The Role In this role, you will be responsible for creation of
UL 508A/UL698A
electrical and electrical control designs and documentation for control panel systems, using CAD tools under the direction of senior staff while ensuring accuracy and adherence to project requirements. Responsibilities What You Will Do (Essential Functions): Create detailed and accurate electrical designs and drawing packages, ensuring quality, consistency, and adherence to project specifications Utilize AutoCAD/AutoCAD Electrical to develop schematics, layouts, and documentation under the guidance of senior engineers or management Execute full-cycle electrical design and drafting tasks, applying practical design methods, technical knowledge, and industry best practices Assist with detailed panel layout of PLC control panels, VFD and MCC Systems, enclosures, HMIs, wiring, and I/O components in accordance with UL 508A and 698A standards and company guidelines Interpret and work from schematic diagrams, P&IDs, one-line drawings, Functional Descriptions, and electrical data sheets to ensure correct system integration and functionality Review designs to identify conflicts, inconsistencies, or errors in panel layouts and schematics, and proactively resolve issues Assist in producing 2D panel layouts from conceptual sketches provided by engineers and senior design staff, ensuring accuracy and completeness Support project engineers and managers in preparing panel designs and documentation for quotes, bids, and project planning activities Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, communicate clearly, ask questions when needed, and help ensure projects are completed on time. Must be Self-motivated and a Self-Starter? Other job duties as assigned including assisting in Submittal and O&Ms. Familiarity with redlines and incorporating them into drawings Qualifications What You Bring (Skills, Abilities, Experience): An associate's or higher degree in computer-Aided Drafting, Applied Science, or related technical education is preferred One or more years of experience in CAD design and production of electrical design documents Knowledge of electrical control schematics and wiring diagrams for motor controls, and process control Experience with engineering, manufacturing, and/or oil and gas environments is preferred. Must have AutoCAD Electrical or AutoCAD Electrical experience. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, are required. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy is required. Excellent organization and planning skills. Ability to effectively learn and acquire new knowledge and skills. In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows-based programs is required Experience with designing UL 508A and UL 698A Control Panels Supervisory Requirements Job This position has no direct supervision responsibility. Job Type Full‑time Pay $75,000.00
