Job Summary We are looking for a reliable and experienced Part-Time CAD Designer / Drafter to work remotely on a project-based basis. We are looking for someone who can take field measurements, hand sketches, photos, and project information and turn them into accurate, professional CAD drawings and renderings. Our team will provide information and direction when needed, but the ideal candidate can also work independently and interpret field information accurately. Responsibilities Create and modify 2D CAD drawings and 3D renderings Convert field measurements, sketches, photos, and notes into accurate drawings Create fabrication, structural, equipment, piping, mechanical, machine-part, shop, and as-built drawings Make revisions based on project requirements and field conditions Work from information provided by our team as well as independently interpret measurements and sketches Maintain organized drawing files and revisions Communicate with our team regarding dimensions, design details, and revisions Produce clear, accurate drawings suitable for fabrication and field use Qualifications Previous CAD drafting and/or 3D rendering experience Proficiency with a CAD or rendering platform Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to interpret measurements, sketches, photographs, and written information Ability to work independently and meet deadlines Good communication and organizational skills Reliable computer and internet connection Industrial, mechanical, welding, fabrication, structural, or manufacturing experience is a plus. A candidate with an understanding of how projects are fabricated and installed in the field would be highly preferred. Schedule Part-time, remote Approximately 15-20 hours per month Project-based work; hours may vary depending on workload Pay Compensation will be based on experience and skill level.
