Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION DESIGNER 1 TBA-HR-FJ-077 JOB SUMMARY
The Designer 1 position requires the basic knowledge of using AutoCAD to create drawings of buildings used in the telecommunications industry. Candidate will undergo training to become proficient in Autodesk Inventor 3D modeling software. Knowledge of building construction and the ability to read prints is essential. Additionally, the Designer 1 would interface with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system to build and maintain Bills of Material (BoM) to create manufacturing work orders used construct Thermo Bond shelters. The Designer 1 would work with the Sales department and the customer to develop the detailed drawings necessary to communicate requirements, as well as potential customer changes, to manufacturing personnel.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
None.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Interface with Sales personnel to develop initial prints from customer specifications, develops additional iterations of prints based upon customer and TBB staff feedback, ultimately providing a final design. Develop prints of TBB production facilities for modification as TBB needs evolve. Works closely with Integration, Electrical and Engineering to verify print detail. Works closely with Purchasing regarding material options for project specific requirements. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS 0-3
years' experience in mechanical and electrical drafting. Basic knowledge of AutoCAD, Inventor and/or SolidWorks and MS Office applications. Well-developed communication and organizational skills. Ability to be effective with limited supervision.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent required. Associates degree in drafting or equivalent experience.
TRAVEL, HOURS OF WORK & SUPERVISION
Hours are flexible. Some overnight travel may be required on occasion.

This position is a full time, salaried position that does not require hourly time reporting and is eligible to participate in Thermo Bond vacation, medical, 401K and life insurance programs.

(including but not limited to): Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the facility. Able to lift/carry 15 lbs.
