Education Requirements Associate Degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, CAD Design, Mechanical Design, or a related technical field preferred. Equivalent combination of education, technical training, and relevant work experience will be considered. Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, engineering documents, and design specifications. Experience Requirements 1-2 years of drafting, CAD design, engineering support, or related technical experience preferred. Experience using 3D modeling and CAD software to create and revise engineering drawings. Ability to develop detailed design documentation while maintaining accuracy and quality standards. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Ability to interpret technical manuals, procedures, and engineering data. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of mechanical design principles, geometry, trigonometry, and engineering calculations. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments. Experience supporting manufacturing, industrial, transportation, or engineered product environments. Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities. Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement and accuracy. Physical Capabilities Ability to sit for extended periods while working with CAD and design software. Must have visual acuity for reviewing technical drawings, plans, and design details. Occasionally required to enter manufacturing or production areas and maneuver around equipment or products. Ability to comply with plant safety requirements and wear required PPE when on the production floor. Job Duties Create, update, and maintain detailed engineering drawings using 3D modeling and CAD software. Revise existing product designs and implement engineering change requests under the guidance of senior designers. Generate new technical drawings from 3D models while ensuring accuracy and compliance with specifications. Support engineering and manufacturing teams with design documentation and drawing revisions. Review drawings for completeness, accuracy, and adherence to company standards. Assist in developing design solutions that improve product quality, manufacturability, and performance.
