Full Job Description Description:
Position Objective :
Under the direction of the drafting manager, this individual is responsible for generating a complete and accurate file and prints based on written specifications for submission to customers, state agencies, and production. Experience in building code (IBC, IPC, IMC, NEC, etc.) is necessary. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Draft project drawings including: working drawings for customer sign-off, state agencies, and production; miscellaneous details and drawings; updating structural standards; sales bid drawings Partner with sales/research for clarification on projects Submit complete and accurate plans to supervisor/plan checker for review Accurately address and incorporate redlines from plan review Submit plans for customer and state to Project Coordinator; revise prints per customer redlines; cloud modifications as needed Process complete and accurate prints including all necessary corrections for final release; save CAD file of completed project final release Address and respond to questions from sales, purchasing and production Other duties as assigned Acts as a backup to the drafting manager when they are out. This position is also expected to: Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Maintain a positive, professional demeanor at all times Provide outstanding customer service to internal and external clients Report hours in a timely and error free manner Be very detail oriented and well organized Possess outstanding communication skills - verbal and written Be skilled at problem solving and analysis
Requirements:
Qualifications and Educational Requirements One (1) year of relevant work experience Preferred Skills Experience in modular manufacturing CAD experience Job Requirements Ability to sit/stand at desk/workstation for prolonged periods of time Frequent use of hands/fingers to operate a computer keyboard and mouse; repetitive hand/wrist motions Ability to view and interpret detailed drawings, schematics, and specifications; ability to work on a computer for extended periods of time; close up vision required for precision work Ability to communicate effectively in English with engineers, drafters, and internal customers Able to successfully pass a criminal background check (following a conditional offer of employment)
