Job Description

General Description of Job:
In general, the CAD Drafter is responsible for developing detailed design drawings and related specifications for the manufacturing of control panels and relay racks. Duties to include but not limited to: Generate and/or revise schematic drawings, wiring diagrams, and physical equipment assembly drawings. Follow CP USA standards to ensure drawings are consistent. Analyze markups from production and revise drawings to reflect the finished product. Review cost estimates to ensure correct parts and panels to ensure correct parts are utilized on drawings. May create designs based on contract drawings and specifications. Adhere to timelines as set forth by Project Managers. Any other task, assignments, duty, or projects, as requested by management.
Requirements :
5+ years of experience using AutoCAD. Proficient with Microsoft Office products (e.g. Word, Excel, etc.). Experience in 3-D Software is a plus but not required. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings including schematics and electrical product guidelines. Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills. Ability to follow directions and procedures. Ability to work on multiple projects at a time. Ability to work independently, collaboratively, or in a team environment. Strong attention to detail. Dependable.
