Drafter I Nema Enclosures Houston, TX Job Details Full-time $20 an hour 21 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off Vision insurance 401(k) matching Qualifications AutoCAD CAD software Teamwork High school diploma or GED Attention to detail Organizational skills SolidWorks Drafting for metal components Full Job Description Overview The Drafter I/Bill of Materials (BOM) is responsible for creating accurate and clear approval and fabrication drawings that meet customer specifications and industry standards (NEMA, IP, UL, ATEX). This role supports the Engineering and Quality Control departments by producing precise job packets for both new and repeat designs and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards. Responsibilities Create simple approval drawings reflecting customer specifications and required certifications (NEMA, IP, UL, and/or ATEX). Develop detailed fabrication drawings to support the construction of customer-specified enclosures. Generate accurate and complete job packets for new, repeat, and e-commerce designs, including all required documentation. Submit job packets to the Quality Control Department for review and release to production. Ensure all projects meet Nema Enclosures' quality standards and certification requirements. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree or technical training in Drafting, Mechanical Design, or a related field preferred. Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar). Familiarity with industry certification requirements (NEMA, UL, IP, ATEX) is a plus. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
