Job Description

Collects and inputs survey and engineering data into a
CAD/CAM/CAE
software database, and providing specific deliverables to construction and field survey teams in the form of GPS Machine Control Models, Surfaces, Linework and visual Documentation. Qualifications Fully proficient in a range of technical processes and procedures through job-related training and considerable on-the-job experience to perform a range of work assignments. Completes a variety of atypical assignments. Works within defined technical processes and procedures or methodologies and may help determine the appropriate approach for new assignments. Works with a limited degree of supervision, with overnight focused only on complex new assignments. Acts as an informal resource for colleagues with less experience. Minimum High School Diploma or GED required; Associate or bachelor's degree in drafting or survey preferred. Minimum 4 years of Computer Aided Design (CAD) support and/or experience required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Employee will be required to communicate in person, via telephone, email, video chat and software systems. Position will be based from an on-site office on construction sites and industrial facilities requiring mobility (on ground and at heights) and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to: hard hat, safety glasses/goggles, ear plugs/muffs, masks/respirators, safety vests, gloves and work boots.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Employee will work in multiple environments including an office, warehouse and in a trailer or building on construction sites. On construction sites noise levels will be moderate to high. Job site will contain - light to heavy equipment vehicles, small to large equipment, materials, communication equipment and tools, people standing, walking, sitting, signaling and talking, bells whistles and alarms. Responsibilities Assesses engineering requirements and translates into technical blueprints, drawings, layouts, and simulation models using
CAD/CAM/CAE
software ensures drawings meet product design goals. Advanced understanding and usage of
CAD/CAM/CAE
design and drafting software platforms. Oversees modeling and design duties that require site authorization or have legal precedence. Reviews and provides feedback on work product(s) for subordinate CAD Technicians. Lead technician in matters of design changes/updates. Good collaboration skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
