Job Description
Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated CAD Designer - II to join our dynamic engineering team. In this role, you will leverage advanced CAD software tools to develop detailed mechanical designs, schematics, and documentation for a variety of projects. Your expertise will contribute to the successful execution of system designs, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on innovative projects that require precision, creativity, and technical excellence. Responsibilities Create detailed 2D and 3D CAD models, drawings, and schematics using software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, Revit, SolidWorks, Creo, Autodesk Inventor, and Pro/ENGINEER. Develop mechanical system designs including piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), building information modeling (BIM) tools, and system schematics aligned with project requirements. Collaborate with engineers and project teams to translate conceptual designs into accurate CAD documentation adhering to ASME codes & standards. Incorporate GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) principles into drawings to ensure manufacturing precision. Support construction teams by providing detailed CAD models and drawings necessary for fabrication and installation processes. Conduct mechanical drafting tasks for product design, assembly modeling, and FEA (Finite Element Analysis) simulations to validate design integrity. Maintain organized CAD files using PDM (Product Data Management) software and ensure version control throughout project cycles. Requirements Proven experience in mechanical drafting, 2D CAD drafting, and 3D modeling for product design or system layout projects. Proficiency with a broad range of CAD software including AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, SolidWorks, Creo, Autodesk Inventor, and Pro/ENGINEER. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to design mechanical systems and interpret technical drawings such as P&IDs and schematics. Familiarity with building information modeling (BIM) tools and construction experience is highly desirable. Knowledge of GD&T standards, ASME codes & standards, and system design principles. Ability to produce clear CAD documentation and technical writing for engineering reports or manuals. Experience in FEA analysis or 3D CAD modeling for product testing is a plus. Excellent attention to detail combined with effective communication skills to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams. Pay:
