Job Description
Expertise and Functions Develop detailed 2D production drawings and 3D solid/surface models using specialized software including: Review of part/component/system technical data for completeness and accuracy Processes definition & development of documentation Identification of tooling, jig and fixture requirements & support/input/review of engineering designs Support CNC file development, test and implementation as needed Identify design interferences, manufacturing concerns and drawing discrepancies Provide support to Project Manager and Engineering personnel in the areas of scheduling, data gathering/limited analyses preparation of technical/project reports, test reports, drawings, specifications and associated documentation Collaborate with engineers, project managers, manufacturing team members to understand specifications and troubleshoot potential design or compatibility issues Ability to interpolate or derive data when working with incomplete technical data to support reverse engineering efforts Update and modify designs based on client feedback, testing results, or changing project scopes Participate in project events as needed by Project Manager, Engineering, or supervisor Report project status and results Other duties as assigned
