Job Description

Edge Eyewear is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead our day-to-day accounting function and bring strong technical accounting expertise and leadership to the team. This role will own the month-end close process, oversee the delivery of timely and accurate financial reporting, and lead and develop the accounting team. We're looking for an accounting leader who combines strong technical expertise with the ability to build trust, develop people, improve processes, and bring greater clarity and consistency to the accounting function. You'll work closely with senior leadership and have the opportunity to strengthen the function and take on broad responsibility across accounting. What You'll Do Own the month-end and year-end close process, ensuring an accurate and timely close. Prepare and deliver timely and accurate monthly financial reporting to leadership. Oversee general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and other close activities. Manage accounting across multiple entities, including consolidations, intercompany activity, and foreign currency transactions. Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team, establishing clear expectations and accountability. Provide day-to-day direction and support to the accounting function, including coordination across GL, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable. Review financial information for accuracy and identify and resolve accounting discrepancies. Assess existing accounting processes and controls and implement improvements that increase accuracy, efficiency, and consistency. Establish and maintain effective accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls. Partner with business leaders to provide visibility into financial results and accounting matters. Proactively communicate financial results, challenges, risks, and emerging issues to leadership. Support annual audit, tax, budgeting, and other financial reporting requirements. Help optimize the use of Odoo and other accounting systems and processes. Support additional accounting initiatives and projects as needed. What We're Looking For 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including meaningful ownership of month-end close and financial reporting Demonstrated experience leading and developing an accounting team Strong general ledger accounting and account reconciliation experience Experience with multi-entity accounting and consolidations Strong understanding of GAAP and core accounting principles Experience identifying process gaps and implementing improvements within an accounting function Strong Excel skills and experience working within ERP/accounting systems Odoo experience strongly preferred Experience with intercompany accounting, international subsidiaries, and/or foreign currency transactions preferred Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to communicate financial information, issues, and risks clearly and proactively Organized, accountable, and comfortable managing competing priorities and deadlines Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred; CPA is a plus Why Edge?
