About Us Sliger is a U.S.-based manufacturer of custom computer chassis and hardware solutions. We're looking for an Entry-Level CAD Designer / Drafter who is excited to learn and grow in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role combines 3D CAD work, hands-on prototyping, and basic design validation to help bring computer hardware projects to life. This is a great role for recent grads, tech hobbyists, or anyone looking to start a career in CAD design and computer hardware manufacturing. No degree is required for this roll, as this is a prove-yourself position. If you're motivated, detail-oriented, and eager to learn, apply today! Responsibilities Use CAD software to create and update 3D models of computer hardware assemblies Design simple sheet metal brackets, 3D-printed parts, and related components Prepare drawings, fabrication files, and work travelers for production Learn how to verify manufacturability of parts using our in-house machinery and tools Assist in building prototypes, working hands-on in production to test fit and function Collaborate with the production team to improve designs for manufacturing Communicate with team members as well as customers about design requirements Requirements CAD experience (Siemens / SolidEdge preferred, but SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Inventor, or similar will suffice) Interest in computer hardware (PC parts, cases, servers, or electronics enclosures) Experience in PC building (have built your own PC and/or PCs for others) Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical instructions Good communication skills Willingness to learn both office and machine shop-floor work Ability to lift up to 50 lbs when working with prototypes and materials Preferred (but not required) Experience with sheet metal fabrication Prior customer-facing experience in engineering or technical support Previous electronic packaging design experience What We Offer Pay range: $20-30/hour depending on skills and experience Paid time off and holiday pay Employee discounts on company products Hands-on training in sheet metal manufacturing, 3D printing, and prototyping Growth opportunities into design engineering, production engineering, or project management
