Dental Lab CAD CAM Designer and Production
Job Description
We are a fast growing dental lab and digital supply company based in Chantilly, Virginia. We are looking for CAD CAM dental lab technicians to work with us. We are mainly looking for designers but not limited to designers. We also need someone who has good knowledge on milling machines, CAM software, and also 3D printers. We mainly use Exocad but 3Shape, Blender, Hyperdent, Millbox, NCWork, Realguide, and other software experience are welcomed. Please call & message John to schedule a meeting. Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Dental CAD/CAM Designer to join our innovative dental team. In this role, you will utilize advanced CAD (Computer-Aided Design) and CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software to create precise, customized dental prosthetics, including crowns, bridges, dentures, and implant restorations. Your expertise in digital design for dental prosthetics will directly impact patient outcomes by delivering high-quality restorations efficiently. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of digital dentistry, combining technical proficiency with clinical understanding to enhance patient care. Duties Develop detailed 3D CAD models of dental prostheses based on digital impressions and patient-specific data. Collaborate with dental clinicians to interpret treatment plans and translate them into accurate digital designs. Operate and troubleshoot CAM software to fabricate prosthetic components with precision and efficiency. Ensure all designs meet strict quality standards, including proper anatomy, occlusion, and aesthetics. Maintain comprehensive medical documentation and records related to each case, adhering to HIPAA regulations. Support the laboratory team in finishing and refining dental prostheses, including ceramic layering and polishing. Stay current with advancements in digital dentistry tools, materials, and techniques to continually improve design quality. Qualifications Proven experience with CAD/CAM software specific to dentistry, such as Exocad, 3Shape Dental System, or similar platforms. Strong knowledge of dental anatomy, occlusion principles, and laboratory techniques for prosthetic fabrication. Familiarity with removable prosthodontics, full arch restorations, implantology, and complete denture fabrication. Experience working with dental equipment and materials used in ceramics and other restorative materials. Ability to interpret medical imaging data such as CBCT scans for implant planning and prosthetic design. Knowledge of dental terminology, laboratory procedures, and infection control protocols within a clinical setting. Excellent attention to detail with proficiency in using precision measurement tools like micrometers. Background in dental office experience or dental assisting is a plus; familiarity with EMR systems is advantageous. Strong understanding of HIPAA compliance, medical coding, and medical documentation standards. Effective communication skills for patient assessment support and interdisciplinary collaboration.
