THE ROLE
You build and coordinate the models MEB's project teams work from, across heavy civil, commercial/architectural, and fueling projects. You develop and maintain the 3D models, run clash detection, and produce the coordination drawings, takeoffs, and visuals that preconstruction and the field actually use. You own the accuracy of what you model and the usefulness of what you hand off.
WHAT YOU WILL OWN
Jobsite and flight safety. Follow MEB safety requirements on every site visit, and operate drones and scanning equipment to FAA and MEB standards. You hold stop-work authority for unsafe conditions during field, drone, or scanning work. Model development. Build and maintain 3D models in Revit, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D, and keep them current against design changes, RFIs, subcontractor input, and actual field conditions. Clash detection. Run clash tests in Navisworks, produce the issue reports, track each clash to resolution, and update the models as they close out. Coordination meetings. Prepare the visuals and model data the meeting runs on, so the time is spent resolving conflicts rather than finding them. Drawings and documentation. Generate and maintain coordination drawings, markups, and model-based documentation. Carry As-Built model updates and revision control through turnover. Preconstruction support. Produce model-based quantity takeoffs for estimating, and the conceptual visuals and model breakdowns that support planning and proposals. Field deployment. Get model views, sequencing visuals, and layout information to the field team, and deploy models to field devices so crews are building from what you produced. Modeling decisions. You make the day-to-day modeling and coordination calls inside MEB standards and the project BIM Execution Plan, and escalate design conflicts and unresolved discrepancies to the BIM/VDC Manager.
WHAT YOU BRING
2+ years of BIM and VDC modeling and coordination in construction, or equivalent hands-on experience. What you have delivered matters more than the year count Working fluency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D. You build to a standard and keep the file clean enough that someone else can pick it up Clash detection in Navisworks start to finish: run the test, write the report, track the clashes, and update the model when they resolve. Running the test is the easy part Ability to read construction drawings, specifications, and sequencing, and to catch where the design will not build before it reaches the field Experience producing coordination drawings, model-based quantity takeoffs, and field-ready visuals. If a superintendent cannot use it, it is not finished Comfort working with reality-capture data: drone imagery, laser scans, and photogrammetry. FAA Part 107 is a plus and we will support you in earning it Bluebeam and ACC or BIM 360. Revizto, Trimble layout tools, and DroneDeploy exposure a plus Ability to hold a coordination conversation with a subcontractor or a superintendent and come away with a decision rather than a list Engineering, construction management, architecture, or a related degree preferred, or equivalent VDC and construction experience. Autodesk certifications a plus OSHA 30 and a valid driver's license. We provide the safety training you do not already have
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Extended computer workstation work: sitting, repetitive keyboard and mouse use, and sustained screen focus Visit active jobsites. Walk uneven terrain, climb stairs and ladders, and work around equipment; required PPE Operate drones and scanning equipment in field conditions including heat, cold, dust, and noise, as assigned Occasionally lift and carry equipment up to 50 lbs. Travel to project sites
COMPENSATION
The anticipated starting salary for this position is $85,000 to $110,000 per year. This is the range we expect to pay someone starting in this position. Where an offer lands within it depends on the experience you bring, the certifications and technical skills that apply to this work, the scope you have carried before, and what we pay people already doing equivalent work here. The range covers base pay. It is a starting range, not a ceiling. People move up through it and past it as they grow with us. WHY MEB Employee ownership. MEB is employee owned. Through our ESOP, the people who build the work own the business behind it. Benefits. MEB pays the medical and dental premiums for our employees. Career paths at MEB are defined, not improvised. You will know what the next step requires and who is responsible for helping you get there. Core values. Clients First, Safety Matters, and Family by Choice. You will see them on the jobsite, not just in the handbook. Who we are.
