The position will consist of Designing technical drawings for our Customers' packaging needs, ensuring designs are created to each Customers' spec and learning to identify critical areas before they become a problem and offer suggestions and/or solutions.
Job requirements:
Being punctual consistently, proficiency with computers and typing, basic math skills and geometry, ability to measure using a tape measure or scale in inches and millimeters, ability to use a utility knife, ability to learn to use machines such as a sample table and roll plotter, ability to follow verbal and written instructions, comprehend drawings and blue prints, be organized, safe, efficient and quality driven, have good communication skills both verbal and written, be flexible with work hours and job duties, willingness to learn new things and advance one's self, have a valid driver's license.
Preferred additional skills:
training with Cimex and Impact CAD programs, packaging design experience, steel rule cutting die manufacturing experience, converting machinery experience, proficiency with Microsoft Office. General CAD or design experience.
Starting pay:
$17-19/hr. + based on experience/knowledge Work hours: Full time Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm with a lunch break, overtime may be required during the work week with a possible partial weekend day Work environment: office in a manufacturing setting, desk work with the need to enter the shop areas regularly, PPE is required in production areas (closed toe shoes, ear plugs and safety glasses), minimal lifting and minimal to moderate standing. Regular and consistent attendance is necessary to perform all aspects of this position
Travel:
some may be required for training, generally little to none.
Pay:
$17.00 - $19.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 50.0 per week
