Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative SolidWorks Designer to join our Dynamic engineering team. In this role, you will be instrumental in creating precise 3D models and detailed 2D drawings for our custom designed stall components (many of which are already designed). Your expertise will help translate conceptual ideas into tangible manufacturable solutions, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications. Duties:
- Develop detailed 3D CAD models and assemblies using SolidWorks for our custom designed stall components (many of which are already designed).
- Create accurate accurate 2D drawings, schematics, and technical documentation aligned with engineering standards such as ASME codes & standards.
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to design mechanical components, piping systems, and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) for diverse projects.
- Perform finite element analysis(FEA) to evaluate structual integrity and optimize mechaninical designs for durability and performance.
- Maintain organized CAD documentation using Product Data Management (PDM) software for version control and project tracking.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in mechanical drafting, 2D CAD drafting, and 3D modeling for product design using SolidWorks or similar CAD software.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, GD&T (geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and system design standards.
- Familiarity with piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), schematics, and construction experience is a plus.
- Understanding of ASME codes & standards relevant to mechanical design and fabrication processes.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately while adhering to industry best practices.
- Excellent technical writing skills for creating clear documentation and reports
- Mechanical knowledge combined with experience in building information modeling (BIM) tools enhances project contributions.
