BIM Modeler Architectural Millwork
Job Description
We are an established architectural millwork company specializing in high-end commercial millwork, seeking a skilled BIM Modeler to join our team in our Sterling, Virgina office. Position Summary The BIM Modeler will be responsible for producing detailed shop drawings using Autodesk Inventor & AutoCAD LT. This role works with our project managers, estimators, architects, engineers, and production teams to develop accurate, coordinated drawings that are ready for manufacturing. Key Responsibilities Create and maintain detailed Inventor models. Ensure models comply with project specifications, company standards, and industry best practices. Revise models and drawings based on client comments, field measurements, RFIs, and project changes. Generate material takeoffs and support production planning when required. Collaborate with CNC programming and manufacturing teams to ensure model accuracy for fabrication. Maintain organized project documentation and version control. Required Qualifications 2+ years of Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD experience, preferably within architectural millwork, cabinetry, woodworking, or commercial interiors. Experience with Autodesk Fusion is an asset. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of CNC manufacturing workflows and experience with Autodesk Fusion is an asset. Familiarity with AWI Quality Standards and architectural specifications.
