Solidworks Designer /DRAFTER Position:
Product Design Drafter Supervises:
None Reports to: Engineering Supervisor TruckVault , the growing industry leader for in-vehicle secure storage, seeks a Product Designer / Drafter for our Engineering and Design Department to help develop a steady stream of new products and improvements. This position has good potential for career growth in all areas. Necessary training will be provided as it relates to the projects/tasks. This position will be responsible for creating custom drawings, pricing, and quote documentation for sales representatives. This position will require constant communication between engineering and sales, with a non-stop flurry of interruptions. Full-time opening with benefits package including overtime (when required), health insurance, 401k match, & paid vacation.General Purpose:
This position is responsible for the following: Designing, drafting, and pricing custom TruckVault units. Communicate with the shop floor on design issues, design changes, and process changes Duties & Responsibilities The position will be using 80% 2D Autocad & 20% Solidworks. Cost & price standard & custom designs Communicate via email and phone with sales Design TruckVault models using metal and wood componentsDaily:
Create AutoCAD & Solidworks drawings, showing details and design of TruckVault productsDaily:
Create Custom Autocad & Solidworks drawings for custom designsDaily:
Fill out excel, word, and PDF forms as required to log measuring notes Create BOM's (Bills of material in MRP program SYSPRO) For accurate costing Research new Vehicles Job Qualifications (Knowledge, skills, and abilities): Proficient in AutoCAD 2D Maintain a positive attitude, even under pressure Proficient in Microsoft applications including Windows, Word, Outlook, Excel Work well in a fast-paced team environment Previous experience in wood products manufacturing Bonus skills: Hands on skills with sheet metal / wood / cabinetry Experience with CNC machinery or programming 3D scanningBenefits
