This role is responsible for preparing accurate shop drawings, creating casework layouts, CNC programming, and supporting project execution from design development through manufacturing and installation. The ideal candidate has experience with architectural millwork, commercial casework, cabinetry, or woodworking fabrication, and is comfortable translating design intent into clear, production-ready documents. Key Responsibilities Create and revise AutoCAD drawings for custom casework, millwork, cabinetry, and related interior components. Develop shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and installation details based on architectural plans, specifications, and field measurements. Interpret design documents and convert them into accurate, buildable solutions that meet project requirements. Coordinate dimensions, materials, hardware, finishes, and construction details with project managers, production teams, architects, and clients. Review drawings and specifications to identify conflicts, missing information, and constructability issues. Prepare cut lists, material takeoffs, and engineering documentation as needed for fabrication and procurement. Ensure drawings comply with company standards, project specifications, and manufacturing capabilities. Support revisions throughout the project lifecycle, including submittals, approvals, production updates, and as-built changes. Communicate with internal departments to help maintain project schedules and resolve technical issues efficiently. Maintain organized project files and drawing records. Qualifications Associate degree, technical certification, or equivalent experience in drafting, engineering technology, woodworking design, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in AutoCAD drafting, preferably in casework, millwork, cabinetry, or architectural woodworking. Strong proficiency in AutoCAD. Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and shop standards. Working knowledge of casework construction methods, materials, hardware, and fabrication processes. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work. Solid organizational, time management, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience with custom commercial casework or architectural millwork. Familiarity with CNC-ready drawings, or manufacturing software. Knowledge of AWI standards or other industry standards. Experience coordinating with production, installation, and project management teams. 3D modeling experience is a plus.
