McMillan Electric Company is looking for a Drafter to join our team This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys designing, problem-solving, working with others, and turning concepts into real-world products. What You'll Do As a Drafter, you'll play an important role in bringing products and ideas to life. Using 2D and 3D CAD tools, you'll create and maintain detailed drawings, specifications, layouts, and models while working with customers, vendors, and teams throughout the organization.

Your responsibilities will include:

Create 2D and 3D models, design concepts, layouts, and product improvements Develop new drawings and revise existing drawings and specifications Design and document electric motors, components, tools, jigs, fixtures, and equipment layouts Troubleshoot and resolve product and application issues Calculate material requirements and prepare material lists Maintain accurate specification files and engineering documentation Interpret drawings and specifications using precision measuring instruments Process Engineering Change Requests accurately and efficiently Collaborate with customers, vendors, and internal teams to support projects and solve problems What You Bring We're looking for someone who is detail-oriented, creative, and enjoys finding solutions to technical challenges.

Qualifications:

Associate degree and experience using 2D and 3D CAD programs Comfortable using small hand tools and precision measuring devices Strong teamwork and project management skills Self-motivated with the initiative to take ownership of projects Creative and analytical approach to troubleshooting and problem solving Ability to apply scientific principles to real-world challenges Excellent verbal and written communication skills Why Join McMillan Electric?
