8/7/26 SUMMARY Assist in the development of orthopedic implants and instruments from conception through commercialization with supervision from the Vice President. This may include attending development meetings and brainstorming sessions; creating solid models and drawings; create and maintain design control documentation; work with manufacturing, quality control, and testing vendors.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in the development of orthopedic implants and instruments from conception through commercialization Attend development meetings and brainstorming sessions Create solid models and drawings utilizing CAD software Assist in managing manufacturing, quality control, and testing vendors Assist in the preparation and maintenance of the design history file and other design control documentation Perform preliminary searches with regard to potential patents or 510k submittals
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. • Working towards a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical or Mechanical Engineering (the candidate must have a minimum grade point average of 2.8 or higher) Analytical thinker who enjoys solving mechanical problems Highly motivated individual who works well in a team environment Experience with 3D modeling packages Strong verbal and written communication skills a plus.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This position requires routine walking, standing, bending, and sitting. Routine and frequent use of a computer is required. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position is assigned to an office setting. Minimal travel may be required. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
COMPENSATION
This position will be an hourly position and will start off at 20/hr. It will be 40 hrs/week at the home office in
