SUMMARY OF POSITION / ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Initiates, recommends, and provides solutions to technical problems for process optimization to improve reliability. Accountable to ensure all processes are designed with six-sigma philosophy•DFSS Responsible for all chemical process engineering with a focus on chemical clean processes. Responsible for ultrasonic cleaning process engineering. Develop/maintain detailed process routings using ERP systems. Develop/maintain detailed work instructions to support production lines and continuous improvement projects (CIP) Construct manufacturing and assembly drawings using CAD software. Conceptualize and design for support of wet line operations and expansion. Conceptualize, design, and adapt fixtures, shop aids, and tools to support wet process lines. Leads FMEA activities for chemical cleaning processes and NPI product development transfer to production.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
BS in Chemical Engineering (or similar) or 3+ years of engineering/process experience. Experience working in a cleanroom environment. Working knowledge and ability with CAD software. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). Chemical cleaning process experience strongly desired. Ultrasonic cleaning process experience strongly desired. Semiconductor industry experience and semiconductor manufacturing/process knowledge strongly desired.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS WHILE PERFORMING THE JOB
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, walk, balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch. The employee frequently is required to use hands to handle objects. The employee is occasionally required to lift and move objects up to 15 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT OF THE JOB
The physical environment requires the employee to work in a normal office setting with frequent visits to the manufacturing floor and certified cleanroom. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment ranges from quiet to moderate The employee will be required to use personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent exposure to hazardous materials commonly used in a manufacturing environment (i.e., safety glasses and shoes, gloves, ear plugs/covers, mask, cleanroom suit) in the shop floor area.
