Job Description

Trajectory Recruiting is partnering with a well-established manufacturing organization in Stamford to hire a Process Engineer focused on process improvement, operational excellence, safety, and manufacturing performance. This role will work closely with operations, engineering, and R&D to improve productivity, reduce waste, optimize manufacturing processes, and support environmental, health, and safety compliance. What You'll Do Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on yield, labor efficiency, setup time, waste reduction, and product quality. Perform root cause analysis and troubleshoot manufacturing and process issues. Own and optimize key manufacturing processes and operating conditions. Apply Lean, Six Sigma, and Operational Excellence principles to improve plant performance. Partner with Operations and R&D on material, formulation, and process improvements. Collect and analyze manufacturing data to identify opportunities for improvement. Support site EHS programs, procedures, reporting, and regulatory compliance. Ensure equipment, facility improvements, and plant projects meet applicable safety and compliance requirements. Support emergency response and process safety procedures. Develop and maintain process documentation, operating procedures, and improvement reports. What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physical Sciences, or a related field. 3+ years of process engineering, equipment development, or manufacturing experience. Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and continuous improvement methodologies. Experience with root cause analysis, process optimization, and data-driven problem solving. Lean, Six Sigma, Operational Excellence, or ISO experience preferred. SAP or other manufacturing ERP experience is a plus. Strong communication, analytical, and project management skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. $100,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
