Job Description

Job Title Chemical Process Engineer II As the Chemical Process Engineer, you will be responsible for setting and scaling up the new ceramic process. In this role, you will design, commission, and optimize chemical processes, progressing from pilot-scale development to full-scale production.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Responsible for the technology transfer from R D into pilot scale and full-scale production. Lead projects including resource requirements, timeline, cost, deliverables, and action items. Prepare progress reports for communication with the team and for executive review. Key interface with manufacturers that supply equipment to the company from specification setting, through implementation, into manufacturing. Perform equipment planning, scheduling, and budgeting. Identify opportunities for improving, developing or revising current technology to implement process improvements. Lead problem solving activities for complex issues that involve the given process and associated equipment. In collaboration with EHS, develop safety protocols for new processes. Promote the company safety culture and initiate continuous improvement efforts. Perform detailed analysis for executive review, able to effectively communicate up and down. May require up to 50% domestic and international travel.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related engineering discipline. Chemical, Materials, or Ceramic Engineering preferred.
Experience:
Greater than 3 years of Engineering experience, preferably in chemical plants. Manufacturing and project management experience preferred. Chemical engineering background preferred.

  • Understand and apply complex mathematical concepts, including geometry and trigonometry, work with various 2D and 3D coordinate systems, apply Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing requirements, and write and troubleshoot simple formulas in Excel or similar software. Project Management
  • Lead projects through all phases, from initiation to closing, by defining scope, planning resources, managing teams, ensuring effective communication, and documenting progress and results. Technology Use
  • Independently operate common technology platforms (e.
g., InfinityQS, SPC), submit technology requests to the service center, and use job aids and help documentation to resolve issues. #LI-MR1
Target Hiring Range Annual Salary:
USD 92,000.00
