Type:

full-time Piper Maddox is partnering with a leading renewable energy producer in the waste-to-value energy sector, operating one of the largest on-farm anaerobic digesters at its facility in Indiana. They are looking to bring on a Senior Process Engineer to support plant operations, process optimization, and continuous improvement. This is a hands-on, onsite engineering role for someone who enjoys troubleshooting complex processes, improving plant performance, and taking ownership of projects from identification through implementation. Key Responsibilities Monitor key process variables, production KPIs, and equipment performance to identify opportunities for improved efficiency and uptime. Troubleshoot process deviations and equipment issues, conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions. Develop and maintain PFDs, SOPs, standard work, and other process documentation. Identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on plant optimization, automation, efficiency, and equipment uptime. Support SCADA, PLC, and control systems by reviewing systems, troubleshooting issues, and identifying opportunities for automation improvements. Support process safety initiatives, including PSM, PHA, HAZOP, HAZCOM, and Management of Change (MOC) programs. Participate in the planning and implementation of business and process expansions. Work cross-functionally with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams while operating independently with a strong sense of ownership. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering required. 5+ years of experience in a Process Engineering role. Strong experience with process improvement, plant optimization, troubleshooting, and operational performance. Experience working with process variables such as flow, temperature, and pressure, as well as developing operating and training documentation. Experience developing PFDs, SOPs, and process systems/documentation. Strong understanding of SCADA, PLCs, and control systems; programming experience is a plus. Experience within RNG/biogas, renewable energy, power generation, oil & gas, wastewater, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, or another industrial process environment. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams. Willingness to work 5 days per week onsite.
