Foundry Technology Engineer - Sr Staff

The Foundry Technology Development Engineer is responsible for developing foundry technology processes with external foundry partners for the development of MEMS processes and devices, managing technology development programs at external foundries, and leading the transfer of internally developed process technologies to external manufacturing partners.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and drive MEMS Foundry Process Development and NPI activities.
• Work closely with Design and manufacturing teams to develop new MEMS technology.
• Lead and manage process development activities including timeline and deliverables
• Manage process development at external foundry partners and communicate progress to internal teams
• Work directly with foundries managing the development MEMS processes and products at foundry partners
• Develop and maintain process specifications in order to meet device specifications
• Research and development on new Microphone MEMS processes leading to cutting edge microphones
• Support and drive process/technology development projects
• Support process quality requirements and continuous improvement plans

Requirements:

• Demonstrated understanding of MEMS/semiconductor processes and equipment
• Proven track record of success in device/process development at a foundry.
• MS or Ph.D. (preferred) in Electrical Engineering with minimum 10 years of semiconductor experience
• Hands-on experience in process module development, device design and integration.
• Experience in MEMS products primarily microphones is a plus.
• Successful experience with technology development at foundries.
• In-depth understanding of process integration and process development in cutting-edge advanced MEMS semiconductor process & device technology.

• Adaptability to work in a fast-paced, global multi-site environment The starting annual base pay for this role ranges between USD $150,000.

00 and $180,000.00 . The actual base pay is dependent on various factors, including training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and market conditions. This range is subject to change and may be adjusted in the future. This position is open to candidates based in Boston, MA with a hybrid work requirement (on-site presence required). The role is also eligible for variable bonus programs and benefits.
