Waltham, Massachusetts job type: Contract salary: $47.00 - 51.45 per hour work hours: 9 to 5 education: Doctorate responsibilities: Develop and optimize downstream purification processes utilizing clarification, chromatography, and membrane filtration technologies for recombinant proteins.
Design and execute innovative process development and characterization activities, including impurity and viral clearance studies.
Lead technology transfer of purification protocols to scale-up laboratories and manufacturing facilities.
Troubleshoot complex purification challenges and provide technical support for pilot and GMP manufacturing of clinical materials.
Perform meticulous data acquisition, analysis, and documentation using electronic lab notebooks (ELNs).Evaluate new purification technologies and innovations to advance process capabilities.
qualifications:
PhD in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, or a related life sciences discipline.5+ years of hands-on experience in recombinant protein purification and downstream process development within a biotech or pharmaceutical environment.
Deep expertise in chromatography, clarification, membrane filtration, and viral clearance validation.
Demonstrated experience with technology transfer and troubleshooting in pilot or GMP manufacturing settings.
