INJECTION MOLDING DIE SETTER, PROCESSOR AND MAINTENANCE

Overview of company: Vacuum Orna-Metal manufactures over 300 products designed for the floral industry. Our high-quality containers are plastic injection molded and vacuum metalized in a variety of shapes, sizes, and colors. We offer custom vacuum metalizing, as well as metalizing for car part restoration. Founded in 1953, Vacuum Orna-Metal is a family-owned company located in Romulus, Michigan.

Qualifications/Requirements:

REQUIRED

• Plastic injection molding experience Experience on VanDorn Classic Toggle or equivalent Mechanical aptitude Safely utilize tools and use of Personal Protection Equipment Strength and ability to troubleshoot and problem solve Self-motivated and ability to follow up on tasks through to completion Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong communication skills

Responsibilities:

Set up and operate polypropylene plastic injection molding machines Oversee multiple plastic injection molding machines, ensuring quality parts are being produced Inspect parts to confirm quality Install and remove molds based on production needs Operate hoists to position mold tools on racks and inside presses Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on all injection molding machines Maintain and repair molds Maintenance on plastic injection molding manufacturing lines General building maintenance Organize and maintain tools and equipment Perform any other reasonable request by management Physical demands/requirements: Required to carry out job duties and responsibilities in a work environment that may include, but is not limited to, varying levels of noise and/or temperatures. Ability to stand, walk, twist, lift, bend, and reach. Ability to lift max 50lbs. Full time, Monday-Friday, $23/hour
