In this role, you will provide technical leadership within production, ensuring products are delivered safely, efficiently, and consistently while supporting innovation, quality, and sustainability initiatives across the site. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career engineer to develop technical expertise, lead improvement projects, and make a meaningful impact in a manufacturing environment. The Role & Your Impact As a Process Engineer I, you will support production performance by optimizing process flow, equipment utilization, and product quality. You will serve as a technical resource for manufacturing operations, driving process improvements, troubleshooting issues, and supporting new product and technology introductions. Your Key Responsibilities Provide technical support to production operations to ensure reliable product supply, quality, and efficiency. Drive process improvements that reduce variation, improve yields, and enhance operational performance. Monitor product and process performance and identify opportunities for improvement. Lead troubleshooting efforts for process, equipment, and control system issues. Support and sponsor improvement initiatives, technical changes, and capital projects. Develop and maintain product and process documentation, including BOMs, PMDs, and related records. Transfer new products and technologies from development into manufacturing. Support training initiatives and share technical expertise across the organization. Lead or participate in local and global cross-functional teams and technical meetings. Utilize Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, statistical tools, and schedule adherence practices to improve manufacturing performance. Promote a culture of safety, continuous improvement, ownership, and operational excellence. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, GMP standards, environmental policies, quality management systems, and corporate safety programs. What You'll Need to Be Successful in This Role Required Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to troubleshoot manufacturing processes and equipment. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Ability to work effectively with personnel at all levels of the organization. Interest in process optimization, continuous improvement, and manufacturing technologies. Key Competencies Technical curiosity and learning agility. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Data-driven decision making. Initiative and ownership mentality. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Additional Skills We Value Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies. Exposure to process control systems or manufacturing automation. Experience working in food, biotechnology, fermentation, chemical, pharmaceutical, or industrial manufacturing environments. Project management or project coordination experience. Knowledge of statistical process control tools and continuous improvement methodologies. Working Conditions Location:
Franklinton, North Carolina Work arrangement: On-site Requires regular presence in manufacturing and processing areas. Must be able to move throughout production areas, climb stairs and ladders, and enter tanks as needed to support operational activities. Must possess the visual acuity and physical capability necessary to safely perform job responsibilities.
