Weekly Pay | Medical | Dental | Vision Insurance Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Control Systems Engineer to support manufacturing automation, process control systems, and engineering projects at our Portsmouth, NH facility. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in industrial automation, controls engineering, troubleshooting, and process improvement within a regulated manufacturing environment. This role will serve as a technical subject matter expert supporting automation systems, equipment reliability, and continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities Automation & Controls Engineering Provide technical expertise for manufacturing automation and process control systems. Support PLC, HMI, SCADA, instrumentation, and automated equipment systems. Design, implement, modify, and troubleshoot control system solutions. Ensure automation systems meet operational, safety, and production requirements. Engineering Projects Lead and support plant automation projects involving complex equipment modifications. Serve as Controls Engineering lead for technology transfers and equipment upgrades. Support commissioning, qualification, and validation activities. Develop and review engineering documentation including: Functional specifications SOPs Work instructions Control documentation Troubleshooting & Continuous Improvement Troubleshoot equipment failures, automation issues, and process deviations. Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions. Analyze process data and system performance trends. Review and troubleshoot automation logic and programming. Support manufacturing operations during critical automation issues. Quality & Compliance Support GMP-compliant manufacturing operations. Participate in audits, inspections, and regulatory activities as a Controls SME. Manage engineering change controls and CAPA activities. Maintain accurate technical documentation.

Required Qualifications Education Bachelor's degree in: Electrical Engineering Control Systems Engineering Automation Engineering Computer Science Related Engineering discipline Experience 5+ years of experience in: Industrial automation Controls engineering Manufacturing automation systems Process control environments Preferred experience: Pharmaceutical, biotechnology, chemical, or regulated manufacturing environments GMP systems Equipment validation and qualification Automation project execution Required Technical Skills Candidates should have experience with: PLC-based control systems
