Job Title:
Process Engineer Job Description The Process Engineer provides technical direction for a defined portion of the production process and shares responsibility for department performance in safety, health, environment, quality, and production. Collaborating with the production team, this role ensures volumes and quality are aligned with business objectives. Responsibilities Observe, analyze, and interpret information from process operations to identify optimization areas. Assist technicians in establishing and maintaining predictive/preventative programs for the area. Analyze and solve technical/operational problems related to the assigned process. Lead and facilitate process troubleshooting. Conceive, plan, develop, and recommend proposals for optimizing production capacity/capability. Manage small capital projects and serve as a resource on large projects. Assist in setting, tracking, and meeting department goals. Support plant and corporate initiatives as outlined in the manufacturing plan. Adhere to equipment/material specifications and follow the change control process. Review and sign batch records, report non-conformances, and lead investigations into non-conformances. Implement SHEQ policy compliance within the work group. Participate in and lead investigations of safety/environmental incidents and execute corrective actions. Ensure regulatory compliance for process critical control points. Maintain a presence in production areas and remain accessible to all process team members. Attend and contribute to team meetings, assemble data, and generate KPI reports. Communicate issues and process improvement ideas to affected personnel and solicit feedback. Interact with and assist team members and external resources as necessary. Support Continuous Improvement initiatives. Essential Skills 5-8 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, batch processing, and process improvement. Experience in a manufacturing and substantial process improvement experience. Experience in batch operation and processing with large tanks. Educational background in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, fermentation, or bioprocessing. Additional Skills & Qualifications Willing to learn and adapt. Comfortable with a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Self-motivated and proactive. Work Environment This role is fully on-site, with employees starting their workday between 7-8 AM and working a full 9-hour day. The facility focuses on the non-branded production and testing of nutraceutical products, supporting cross-functional teams. The open campus consists of five different buildings, including an onsite cafeteria and lounge facility. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Belvidere, NJ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $120000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
