Job Description

Senior Chemical Engineer (90-170K+) We are seeking a Senior Chemical Engineer to work for an exciting and growing products manufacturer. This is an outstanding opportunity to take ownership of the company's urethane chemistry and laboratory function while working directly with production to improve existing processes and develop next generation material systems.
Duties and Responsibilities :
Evaluate and optimize existing urethane formulations and processing systems to improve repeatability, predictability, quality, and manufacturing performance Lead laboratory testing and validation of incoming raw materials before they are introduced into production Utilize laboratory equipment that mirrors the production process to identify and resolve material and processing issues Develop next-generation urethane material systems and formulations to support new products and company growth Provide ongoing technical and process support to manufacturing to maintain product quality and improve throughput Identify formulation and process improvements that can reduce cycle times and increase production output Support raw material sourcing and qualification efforts to establish secondary sources for critical materials Work closely with Engineering, Maintenance, Production, and company leadership to implement material and process improvements
Education and Experience :
BS in Chemical Engineering 3-15+ years of experience working with urethane formulation and/or processing Elastomer experience strongly preferred Previous experience working within a manufacturing environment Strong hands-on troubleshooting, testing, and problem-solving skills Experience with raw material suppliers, technical sales, or chemical distribution may also be considered
