The company is known for its engineering expertise, ISO 9001-certified quality standards, comprehensive production capabilities-from design and tooling through molding, assembly, finishing, and testing-and its commitment to delivering complex manufacturing solutions that improve customer efficiency, quality, and speed to market. Job Description Promote and maintain a safe work environment by adhering to safety policies, utilizing required PPE, maintaining workplace organization, and promptly reporting hazards, incidents, or near misses. Design, refine, and resolve issues within injection molding processes using a broad range of engineering-grade and commodity resins. Evaluate existing procedures and implement process enhancements to improve operational efficiency and organizational performance. Establish, track, analyze, and communicate key performance indicators (KPIs) related to continuous improvement initiatives. Collaborate with Manufacturing leadership to develop and transition sustainable process controls following project completion. Serve as a key manufacturing technical expert during Design for Manufacturing (DFM) activities and product development efforts. Assess workforce development needs and create training programs for Manufacturing personnel, including Material Handlers, Mold Setters, and Process Technicians. Oversee process-related documentation, including process sheets, work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and ISO-controlled records. Support the maintenance and accuracy of departmental records to ensure compliance with company procedures and ISO standards. Educate and mentor team members on advanced troubleshooting methods, processing best practices, and setup techniques. Lead continuous improvement projects focused on reducing waste, lowering manufacturing costs, improving quality, and increasing production output. Partner with cross-functional teams to achieve departmental objectives and broader business goals Work closely with Molding Operations leadership to meet daily, weekly, and long-term production targets. Coordinate with Sales, Engineering, Quality, and Finishing teams to support engineering changes, product launches, and production transitions. Research, evaluate, and implement new equipment, automation solutions, and technologies that enhance operational efficiency and profitability. Champion and advance lean manufacturing principles throughout the organization to drive continuous operational excellence. Review safety-related processes and procedures, identifying opportunities to strengthen workplace safety and prevent accidents. Perform additional responsibilities and special projects as assigned to support business needs. The Successful Applicant A successful process senior process engineer will have the following experience: A bachelor's degree in engineering/technical field or relevant industry experience Experience working within in a plastic (injection molding preferred) manufacturing setting Contract manufacturing experience is preferred (high mix, low volume) Experience with developing and improving manufacturing processes Ability to mentor/train the younger technicians/inspectors on best practices.
