Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Process Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing manufacturing processes to ensure efficiency and quality including releasing molds to production after mold changes. and driving improvements for scrap reduction and parts containment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of process operations and have the ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise. This position is essential in maintaining production standards and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Duties Strategic Planning and Execution:
Provide application and processing expertise to facilitate manufacturing efficiencies and continuous improvement.
Team Leadership and Development:
Manage, mentor, and motivate the operators in the proper molding techniques. Daily Management of molding processes and improvements for facility and providing responsive support to the manufacturing operation.
Cross-Functional Company Collaboration:
Work closely with internal teams such as Manufacturing, DPS and Quality in ensuring quality parts are produced. Ensure all documentation is properly approved, correct & concise, and understandable, as required by the QMS. Maintain and organize spare components for all Molds and facilitate proper Mold storage. Perform tool evaluations and generate work orders as necessary to fix tools. Interpret current tool conditions and the effect in Line Check Data and IQMS. Perform technical support to manufacturing, process engineering, automation, and maintenance. Participate in continuous improvement efforts, corrective action formulation, and root-cause investigation. Participate in Continuous Improvement, communication meetings, and Team huddles. This list is not all inclusive and other duties may be assigned as needed. Skills Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions. Excellent problem-solving abilities, particularly in high-pressure situations. Familiarity with manufacturing processes, equipment, and quality control measures. Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members across various departments. Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards. Proficiency in using process monitoring software or tools is a plus. Three to five years of practical experience in transfer molding and process development.
