Job Description
Matrix Tool, Inc., located in Fairview, PA, is a premier manufacturer specializing in high-precision molds and tight-tolerance plastic parts. To help support our continued growth and expansion into new markets, we are seeking a skilled Off-Shift Process Specialist to join our Plastic Injection Molding Division team. Primary Duties:
Set-up:
Set cavity units and discrete injection molds into presses; configure work cells based on automation and support equipment requirements.Start-up:
Start up injection molding machines for new molds using Scientific Molding techniques to achieve high-precision tolerances.Quality:
Collaborate with QA staff to obtain approved production parts and product print compliance.Optimization:
Monitor processing activities to ensure optimum cycle times and product quality.Troubleshoot:
Resolve process-related problems (such as flash or short shots) as they arise.Leadership:
Provide guidance and instruction to production personnel.Support:
Assist with part inspection, continuous tooling and engineering improvement projects as needed / assigned throughout the shift.Basic Qualifications:
Experience:
2-to-3 years of processing experience in an injection molding or educational lab environment.Technical Expertise:
Familiarity with precision plastic injection molding, processing theory, Scientific Molding techniques, and engineered resins.Operational Skills:
Working knowledge of mold set-up and start up procedures; basic computer skills are helpful.Training:
Previous formal training in molding / plastics processing is required.Mindset:
A "take-charge" attitude with sound decision-making abilities and a strong independent work ethic.Professionalism:
Organized, able to manage his / her time to meet production schedules in a systems-driven environment.Collaboration:
Solid communication skills and the ability to work effectively as a member of a dynamic team is essential.Benefits & Compensation:
