Exempt Position Overview:
The Senior Process and Innovation Specialist is responsible for leading and executing process development and production technology projects that support manufacturing excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement at the GTP Towanda facility. Working closely with the Head of R D and cross-functional teams, this role drives the development, optimization, and implementation of manufacturing processes, raw material technologies, and production improvements that enhance operational performance, product quality, and competitiveness.
Responsibilities Would Include:
Lead and execute production-related process development projects in alignment with the Head of R D. Participate or lead raw material processing and production technology projects Collaborate with universities, research institutes, and external laboratories. Foster constructive collaboration with internal functions and facilitate a knowledge exchange and best practices with technical peers across the group. Report project progress, results, risks, and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders. Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of development activities, experimental results, and technical findings. Contribute to research programs and participate in industry events and technical conferences. Generate and promote innovative ideas, technologies, and improvement opportunities.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Metallurgy, Chemistry, Physics, or a related technical discipline required. Advanced degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) preferred. Equivalent combination of education and relevant process development, manufacturing technology, or industrial research experience may be considered. Strong technical background in Chemical Engineering or Physical Chemistry Creativity, ability to contribute to the R D mission with innovative ideas Experience in process efficiency, energy efficiency, and product quality issues
