This engineer will lead improvement projects and shop floor support for a product line in an their assigned area. Job Description Roles and Responsibilities Support plant safety policies Improve all aspects of Safety, Quality, Delivery & Cost Lead improvement projects from concept to completion & assure sustainment APQP for responsible processes Drive & lead/cycle time improvements Lead & support low rate and full rate production Implement necessary equipment, tooling & fixtures for manufacturing development and process improvements Create, maintain & adhere to schedules to achieve business metrics/targets Listen to the voice on the floor, understand the problem and implement effective countermeasures Manage projects related to product industrialization Hands on problem solving & investigation Continuous improvement mind set Perform root cause and corrective action of product & process failures and defects Limited remote working conditions Limited travel (equipment run off, supplier visits) Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree accredited college or university (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in manufacturing operations experience) Desired Characteristics Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to document, plan, and execute projects. Cp/cpk/SPC experience
