Position Summary The Control Systems Engineer is responsible for the design, development, implementation, and support of industrial control and automation systems for large‑scale capital projects. This role supports the full project lifecycle—from conceptual design and front‑end engineering through detailed design, construction, commissioning, and startup—while ensuring systems meet project, client, and regulatory requirements. The engineer works collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and interfaces closely with clients, vendors, and construction teams to deliver robust, safe, and reliable control solutions. Key Responsibilities Engineering & Design Develop control system architectures including DCS, PLC, SCADA, SIS, and networked control systems Prepare control philosophies, functional descriptions, cause & effect diagrams, and control narratives Design control system hardware including I/O, panels, marshalling, power distribution, and networks Develop and review instrumentation and control (I&C) drawings, loop diagrams, logic diagrams, and wiring details Support development of P&IDs, instrument indexes, and I/O lists Perform control system sizing, architecture selection, and redundancy analysis Automation & Software Develop and review PLC, DCS, and SCADA logic and configuration Support HMI graphics design and operator interface philosophy Coordinate FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) and SAT (Site Acceptance Testing) Support system integration between control, safety, and auxiliary systems (e.g., packaged equipment) Safety & Compliance Support functional safety and process safety activities, including SIS and interlock design Participate in
