This position will support our SMT medical device production in Sanmina's Medical Manufacturing Center of Excellence in Carrollton. Candidate will be required to interface with customers and participate in customer meetings. Candidate must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability work well with other members of the technical and production staff including the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical personnel.Nature of Duties:
Support manufacturing for surface mount electronics (SMT) and through hole soldering Specifying new equipment and evaluation of new equipment, processes, and materials Generating post build/DFM report and presenting to customers Component analysis Failure Analysis Review customer engineering change orders and deviations and apply to the process Work with the quote group to quote new assemblies Process Improvement/Process Development for SMT Review customer returned materials Yields review, development of corrective action and implementation of corrective actions Training of production personnel Generate process documentation New product introduction and development Flexibility and the initiative to take on other roles/processes outside of the SMT area as neededEducation and Experience :
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical Engineering or equivalent Minimum 2 years experience supporting manufacturing Medical manufacturing experience and familiarity withISO 13485
a plus Working knowledge ofIPC-A-610
Solder Requirements- IPC Solder Certification is a plus Working knowledge of
ISO 9001
standard for a quality management system (QMS) Working knowledge of 5S Lean Six Sigma practices Experience in executing process optimization including process engineering Excellent problem solver and ability to generate innovative solutions to broad range of issues Ability to explain complex technical issues to other functions in clear and understandable terms Ability to meet aggressive program deliverables.
